Getting Older

Well, it's that time of year again. The birthday. Just another day in ordinary life, except you're marking the number of years it's been since your poor mother pushed you out. Celebrating another year alive, contemplating how much you have (or haven't) changed or achieved in the last year and lets be honest, it's just another excuse for a jolly good knees up!

Well, I admit that I do feel grateful for all of my 20 years and I can't really complain but this last year has been one of many firsts, and not all nice ones. But in the last year I have had my first full time wage, my first (and second) car and gotten engaged :). The not so good things are mostly health related, I mean I know people say that your health worsens when you get older, but I thought that was when you are sat in your bloomers, long woolen skirt, jumper and cardigan with the heating cranked up to full and you're still sniffling with the delights of winter. However, I now know how to deal with my more emotional problems and in having such issues I have learned some vital life skills.

As a member of the younger generation, I celebrated my birthday with the traditional night round the town, which generally consists of a number of your closest and craziest trying to get you drunk on a pitiful number of drinks due to a terrible lack of funds being the result of poor employment and bad financial times (rant over) and making a complete fool out of yourself. Check! But then, I'm always making a rosy mule of myself :) haha.

Now then, what's on my list for next year? Hehe, wait and see ;). Keep smiling :) xxx
